Project details

The project focused on developing novel bio-based material solutions leading to new manufacturing tools and sustainable value chains in the construction, food and beverage packaging, appliances, and tooling industries.

Three innovative bio-based materials and optimised manufacturing processes have been designed and implemented through pilot demonstrations across three value chains:
– bioplastic bottle closures for oil and fruit juice
– wood composites bearings for plastic injection machines
– multifunctional rubber panels with fire resistance and vibrational applications

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement No. 10038028.
