Project evolution
The MC4 project aims at developing manufacturing processes based on recycled material, thus improving competitiveness of European companies in this domain and decreasing the dependence on foreign sources of such materials.

Project duration: 36 months
Project end date: 31 March 2025
- Development of new recycling processes, reaching a 60% recycling rate within the supply chains, based on chemical matrix/fibre separation for carbon fibre
- New type of resin for the direct re-use of the composite material for glass fibre
Project preparatory phase:
- Introduced 1 Italian SMEs to the Consortium
Project implementation:
- Supporting the Italian pilot use case
- Contribute to the exploitation process
